Turns out the chainline on the Voyageur is 47.5mm or close to it.

I was able to get help from an experienced bike guy pulling the crank to meaure the present bottom bracket; its a square tapered 68x123 unit.

The next question I have is, the Nashbar crankset (the very same you linked) is "compatible with 8- and 9- speeds".

With Nashbars' 7/8 speed chain or some such chain will I be able to use this crankset with a seven speed freewheel?
