What size bottom bracket for '89 Voyageur?
As part of prepping for an upcoming tour I'm refurbishing my '89 Voyageur.
The stock cranket (55/44/27) is geared too tall for my needs so I would like to switch it out, Nashbar makes a 44/33/22 crankset that sounds about right, only problem is they sell three bottom brackets to match.

68x108
68x113
68x118
Does anyone know which would fit my bike?
Thanks,
Mike

Can't tell you which is the right one but if it's this crankset https://www.nashbar.com/bikes/Product...0052_502057_-1 they show ISIS 113mm recommended for 47.5mm chainline.
I would measure your chainline and get the BB that fits the best. To measure chainline follow this link

Thank you Sir!
Turns out the chainline on the Voyageur is 47.5mm or close to it.
I was able to get help from an experienced bike guy pulling the crank to meaure the present bottom bracket; its a square tapered 68x123 unit.
The next question I have is, the Nashbar crankset (the very same you linked) is "compatible with 8- and 9- speeds".
With Nashbars' 7/8 speed chain or some such chain will I be able to use this crankset with a seven speed freewheel?
Thanks again,
Mike
