I have several Tempo's. I like recent vintage (1980's) Schwinn's. (I haven't stepped to the level of the Paramount's yet.)
Anyway, this is the Tempo I plan to leave at my office in Cincinnati Ohio - my lunch time ride.
The 25" Tempo frame fits me well. I love the pro bars, Brooks seat, etc.
The wheel set is comprised of Dura Ace hubs laced to Mavic Open Pro rims.
Drive is Shimano 600.
I treated the frame with frame saver - inside. The
huge mistake I made was not soaking the frame before building to get some of the rust off the outside. I hope I can rectify that by using a little vinegar to go over the more rusty areas now. The troubling spots are by the lugs. Surface rust I can handle - but the rust around the lugs jumped out at me after the bike was finished. (Bad timing)
It should be fun to ride when Ohio melts.
thanks
Tempo
