I think you did pretty good selling the bike as is fairly easy. Often times on bikes like this it just makes more since to sell them as is for a slightly cheaper price fairly easy than spend a lot of time effort and money only to get another $100 maybe $150 out of the bike. Which leaves you with more time to invest in more worth while bikes or pursuits.
