They are bikes made of budget
white label components that have nice matte paint jobs...and cost $1,500.
The bikes aren't exactly custom as much as they are configured. When I hear "custom bike" I think of custom geometry or at the very least, "best of breed" component options.
Basically, with these bikes you mix and match parts based on a handful of options per category. These options are simply color variations of the same budget parts. "Do you want white chain or black chain? Do you want white saddle or black saddle? Raw or Black frame?" etc...
To me, "custom" would be:
- What color do you want?
- What chain do you want?
- What saddle do you want?
I would assume that the bikes are fine. But, there are no choice components in any of the options.
