Get yourself a Kevlar-

I don't know if you're a "steel pot" guy or a "K-pot" kind of guy. Myself, when I was a kid, had steel pot and liner in Basic and AIT, but K-pot at every duty station.

For some reason, command was always testy when it came to guys riding motorcycles wearing their Kevlars. I don't know of anyone riding bicycles wearing their Kevlars- but I'm sure it made them think "safety first."
