Showers Pass Convertible Pants?

I'm refusing to acknowledge winter any more and am planning forward to spring.

My Marmot soft shell pants are unsuitable for warmer weather rain repellence, and I no long have a place to let my clothing dry during work hours. So, I'm looking at the Showers Pass converty pant/knickers. Seems like a good idea, but then again so did riding during a flash flood that one time so I'm looking for wiser minds than mine on this.

Web reviewers are kind of all over the place on these, and Backcountry has a sale going right now, so I'm wondering if any BF'ers have had experience with these and are willing to talk about it?

Gracias!
