Showers Pass Convertible Pants?

I'm refusing to acknowledge winter any more and am planning forward to spring.

My Marmot soft shell pants are unsuitable for warmer weather rain repellence, and I no long have a place to let my clothing dry during work hours. So, I'm looking at the Showers Pass converty pant/knickers. Seems like a good idea, but then again so did riding during a flash flood that one time so I'm looking for wiser minds than mine on this.

Web reviewers are kind of all over the place on these, and Backcountry has a sale going right now, so I'm wondering if any BF'ers have had experience with these and are willing to talk about it?

Gracias!

I have the showers pass hybrid zip off soft shell pants. Not sure if those are the ones you are looking at? Anyway, I've had them for about 4 years now, I highly recommend them. I wear them for 3 seasons. Winter with a base layer under. Spring and fall I find them essential for cool morning and then warm afternoon conditions and commutes. Not exactly waterproof., but they dry very quickly, and they arent my rain pants after all. Well designed, well made. Versatile.

I don't use that kind of thing. As some may be tired of hearing me say this. I just wear regular wool trousers. They're great for me. Dress trousers are usually looser than casual pants. Wool is warm when wet. And when the weather warms up, they're still not hot, because wool breathes.

Costco usually sells Italian-made trousers for about $50, which is a STEAL.

I'm a huge Ibex wool fan, honest! The moisture is the main concern, as I can layer all day and night with the all-season wardrobe I've built up.
