I have the showers pass hybrid zip off soft shell pants. Not sure if those are the ones you are looking at? Anyway, I've had them for about 4 years now, I highly recommend them. I wear them for 3 seasons. Winter with a base layer under. Spring and fall I find them essential for cool morning and then warm afternoon conditions and commutes. Not exactly waterproof., but they dry very quickly, and they arent my rain pants after all. Well designed, well made. Versatile.
