I put a Brooks B17 Imperial ( a B17 with a slot cut out in the middle) on my Fuji "Touring" and found it comfortable right away. I haven't toured on it, but I ride it every day to work and on "fun" weekend rides, the longest being 100 km +/-. And it feels great! I can easily ride 30 miles with regular, unpadded, pants without any issues. Might could ride longer, but haven't tried. Always had padded cycling shorts on for the longer rides. I had heard stories about "break in time", but mine fit me just fine right out of the box. And, I think it looks great on the bike.
