The good people at our city transit department have given us a bay to store and work on bicycles for the adaptive cycling program I am working with.
Today I installed the axle kits I had brought to my shop to modify, built up some seat supports, and swapped a lot of pedals.
One of the conversions... it is a singlespeed.
We will give all of these away on Saturday.
I'm curious - is there a reason the rear axle is so wide other than to maximize stability? I just noticed that it looks like the same width on every trike regardless of size. Is it a function of part availability?
