Larry from OlyBikes maybe able to steer you to a used bike. I bought a new bike from him 2 years ago and found it to be an ok shop. I have heard Olympia has a good bicycle co-op where you should be able to find a good deal. The co-op should be easy to find. Failing that, consider the Good will, or a thrift shop.
