It appears they do have some hook. The 27 steel rims being replaced have none at all. So I'll be looking for some 622x35 tougher tires. Seems like the max width for 15mm rims recommended on this forum. I have to ride dirt paths and broken up parking lots just to get out of my neighborhood to the store.
