I am 44 yrs old and am just getting back into biking after 20 years. I am not clueless when it comes to computers and smartphones. I am just very confused. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I should put this whole thing together for my new bike? Thank you in advance for suggestions.

Other question: Is a bluetooth heart rate monitor more beneficial to me than one that comes with a watch?

You can so all of that with Cyclemeter from Abvio |. Go and get a Wahoo Fitness blue tooth heart rate monitory and you're all set. Best out there.

When you want to, you can then add a cadence and wheel speed sensor (also from Wahoo Fitness, bluetooth version) and you'll be able to keep all that data too.
