How bout cleaned up? I can clear up some of that rust as it's mostly surface stuff. New chain, tubes, cables maybe tires. Is it worth the bother? I would happily take $50 as is but if I can get $200-300 for a little elbow grease and some small parts then I would be willing. If max is, let's say $100, then I wouldn't bother and just market it to commuters or others interested in older bikes
With "noobs" asking this question, at least for me, I need to see the finished product, the quality of presentation or photography, and know the location, as these three factors can affect values by hundreds of dollars. On occasion the work exceeds expectations, but frequently that's not the case.
