I would ask if it's truly the saddle or is it the bike fit, an "unseasoned" rump, or a combination of the above? Not to say that you do not understand your pain, but sometimes the saddle isn't the main problem. For example, my hybrid saddle is far more comfy and padded than the saddle on my Roubaix however, I am comfortable on both because of how the bikes are adjusted to fit me. The second thought is your time spent cycling. It is not unusual for the butt to complain for the first couple of hundred miles. If I take a few weeks off of the bike my butt gripes about it the next day and while not an hard core rider, I try to kill off around 2400 miles a year. Give it some thought, if you haven't already, as you could end up chasing the fabled magic saddle while watching your bank account suffer.
