Not another saddle thread
So I'm selling my Fizik Kurve Snake because it's just not the saddle for me, it also causes a bit of pain in the tender areas after a ride. Was looking at the Selle SMP TRK saddle, anyone had any any experience with this saddle or could recommend a good one for around the $80 range?

Not quite in the $80 range but I love the Charge Spoon. I bought it upon the recommendations of another forum member and have not been disappointed at all.
It's on my store/town bike and I've not gone over 20mi at once on it.

I would ask if it's truly the saddle or is it the bike fit, an "unseasoned" rump, or a combination of the above? Not to say that you do not understand your pain, but sometimes the saddle isn't the main problem. For example, my hybrid saddle is far more comfy and padded than the saddle on my Roubaix however, I am comfortable on both because of how the bikes are adjusted to fit me. The second thought is your time spent cycling. It is not unusual for the butt to complain for the first couple of hundred miles. If I take a few weeks off of the bike my butt gripes about it the next day and while not an hard core rider, I try to kill off around 2400 miles a year. Give it some thought, if you haven't already, as you could end up chasing the fabled magic saddle while watching your bank account suffer.

SMP saddles are great, but require 4-5 rides to get used to. There's no pressure on the sensitive bits, but they put a lot more weight on the sit bones. Initially, this is very uncomfortable.
I ride an SMP Dynamic, which is a minimally padded saddle (leather with ~1mm of padding). The TRK is a heavily padded saddle best suited to upright riding on hybrid bikes or Clydes.
