Reminds me of my Bikecology days, when we would get free repeat radio ads whenever disk jockey Wolfman Jack mispronounced Nishiki. Of course, my Japanese-literate elder son tells me most Americans mispronounce it, as well, by emphasizing the middle syllable, but at least they don't say, "Neshersky" or something like that.
Neshersky, is that the Russian Nishiki knock off, they were carved out of solid lead and outweigh a Huffy MTB by about half again....
