In South Dakota they have a town named Pierre. Most of us would say Pee-yare like we think the French would say. No. The locals pronounce it peer. Go figure.
I do love my Rail-ee-ig bikes, though!

Maybe somebody can help me with this one...PUCH. Have owned one for years but never knew how to say it correctly. I have always just called it a PUKE.

Reminds me of my Bikecology days, when we would get free repeat radio ads whenever disk jockey Wolfman Jack mispronounced Nishiki. Of course, my Japanese-literate elder son tells me most Americans mispronounce it, as well, by emphasizing the middle syllable, but at least they don't say, "Neshersky" or something like that.
