On almost all Peugeot bikes from the 84 and later, the lion on the set tube should always face back towards the rear wheel on both sides of the seat tube....
Except for the model PY10FC, their top of the line carbon fiber framed bike back then where the factory wasn't so consistent and I've seen the face both forward and backwards on the seat tubes. and sometimes forward on one side and backwards on the other. I think this was because the decals were vinyl, stick-on type that were not clear coated over, so maybe the QA on the decal mounting wasn't too strict about the lion decal on the seat tube. It's a French bike, so I guess finding some quirkiness on them isn't so surprising.....
