I went up from the other side from East Valley road. A little tougher. Same altitude gain with .5 miles less road and some crazy switchbacks. Fun on the way down

Named for a feature in the Tennessee River before the river dam system. Used to be a really treacherous area with a big whirlpool where many boats wrecked. Appropriately named The Suck.
