Yeah, I am glad PUMA invented fixed gear books. thank god for that.
I would gather that the
PR vamps had their way with a lot of what was said, which is typical.
Nice gesture, at best, on behalf of Corporate America.
While the material is on-point, it is not new. Just re-marketed and flashier than the numerous threads here and other places (63xc.com, etc). Really, what is going on here? PUMA wants new sales.
"Hmmm...I just picked up some Romas online...what's this? Oh, a book on bicycles. I will build one and get more PUMA clothing to match."
That is what scares me. Well, that and the potential for the streets of America littered with the rotting corpses of unaware, fixed gear tyros - dressed in the latest PUMA fashions as seen in
FG 102: What to Wear to Improve your Compskids. Maybe they could market the "ghostbike" initiative next. (note: this is sarcasm)
Yes, PUMA has done some nice things for the messenger community and track cycling - I do recognize that. But Denmark still has curtains.
I am all for cycling, but cycling done correctly.
I kept this as a Corp bashfest just for turd.
