My intended statement was not say that they are in any way equal in the effects to the recipient of the abuse, my intent was to say that prejudice is prejudice, no matter who the target is. Truth be told, prejudice hurts the one who is making the pre-judgement more than it does the person they are pre-judging. The more you close your mind and assume that someone doesn't have anything to offer that is of value to you, the less of value you will get.


Angry words, mockery and yelling just close minds and make absolutely sure that any good you might have to give to someone is totally lost, because now they've judged you to be an unlistening person who isn't worth helping or receiving help from. Why would you accept advice from someone who's just told you you're an idiot?
