No, you adjust what you wear under the helmet depending on the weather. I was *freezing* on my night time commute home until I started wearing a thermal skull cap. It made a world of difference. My thighs no longer were cold after the 40 minute ride home. I am now comfortable down to 37ºF.
That's very convenient. If necessary, you could ride in the refrigerator.
