Well i stand corrected. the inner cage doesn't come off. What i thought was a bolt seems to be a rivet into the main body. Maybe SRAM is bolt on where people swap the carbon cages for alloy for better durability or replacement.

i guess i will pass, doesn't seem worth the effort if i can't use the pieces i already have.
