I check it out in person and it's quite stout for weekend rides. It's also not a theft magnet like my MTB would be.

The drivetrain looked/felt good and there's no so many hills in the London area anyway.

Some good tubes/tires/tuning and it's probably a great bike for weekend use.

The other option was a folding bike for 149

and I'd ride and from the station. Every weekend, I'll be leaving work at 5pm every Friday and taking the train down to London and leaving for back up North at 6pm on Monday morning

then I can get some more rides in over the week
