There is a bike shop that's about 3 miles from the start of Glendora Mountain Road. Good shop. And that's where some riders begin to get that "warm up". I parked in their lot for the ride up before. They don't open early and I suppose you want an early start to beat the heat. There's some hotels near there and even an extended stay place. Call them.
