And I "get" that. I just think it's a shame to let one post be the end of a useful thread. In most threads, a single "bad" post will get removed, rather than cause the lockdown of the entire thread. (This is why the 41 continues to function, as far as I can tell.)

But helmet threads don't get the same treatment. And again, I understand why - and I think the mods around here generally do a very good job - but if I was king of the internet, I'd back down on the helmet thread scrutiny just a degree or two.
