^+1^ the dustcaps are VERY prone to corrosion, maybe the threads are both cut AFTER anodizing, but they gall and freeze-up a LOT. I have broken a couple Mavic pin spanners try to unscrew frozen caps...try soaking in strong ammonia, and then follow with penetrants like Kroil, maybe heat as well. Be sure to grease those threads or use anti-seize if you manage to get to that point in the rebuild. I think Mavic spec'd really high-grade cartridge bearings as they seem unusually smooth compared to generic brands from the bearing house (which these days could be from China or Slovakia). Phil Wood is said to have done the same with their bearing spec.
