Honestly this is just the beginning of my enjoyment of commuting in the annual cycle.
Just the other day we had cold and wind, but I liked it much better than riding on a nice, warm day with too many people out there. There also seems to be a little more respect for people on the bikes.
There is that. As hard as I try to be tolerant of pedestrians on the MUP leg of my commute...I absolutely love it when there aren't any.
