So I already started my own thread to hopefully answer some more specific questions, but I'm looking to build up my first touring specific frame with either a sram wifli drivetrain with rival or a x/9 mtb drivetrain.

My two biggest farm contenders are the trek 520 disc and the Salsa Vaya 3

Just wanting to get some feedback on what riders with a lot of experience on the 520 had to say in the argument?
