I'm not sure if this was the intention behind either name, but whether we're talking the modern Soma Fabrication, or the 80's "Soma" -branded bicycles that were built by Kuwahara, I think it's totally fitting that a bicycle should be named after a powerful mind-altering drug that makes the user feel good (happy, content, or enlightened).
