I have a Miyata Three Ten (ladies frame) of approximately that vintage with a tubular aluminum seat post that diameter. According to Sutherland's Third Edition (1980), Japanese seat posts were 26.2 and 26.8 for high quality straight gauge tubes and 26.4, 26.6, 26.8 and 27.0 for butted tubes.
