Could anyone confirm that the 1984 Miyata 912, uses a 26.8mm seatpost?

I have a Miyata Three Ten (ladies frame) of approximately that vintage with a tubular aluminum seat post that diameter. According to Sutherland's Third Edition (1980), Japanese seat posts were 26.2 and 26.8 for high quality straight gauge tubes and 26.4, 26.6, 26.8 and 27.0 for butted tubes.

Yes I used Seldon's, but it only gives a 1990's 912 seatpost size, i'm hoping that the size is the same for the 1984 model......26.8mm, but want to be sure!
