I wish Cannondale would offer a Synapse flat bar bike. I test rode some road bikes lately and just can't get into road bikes. Its fun but just seems so laborious being stretch out for any long period of time to me.
Have you tried a shorter stem? I have decided that the bike I will be riding next year is a touring bike, because the riding position when I am on the hoods is about the same as when I am riding my hybrid... which is where I will ride 95% of the time, but I will be able to get a little more aerodynamic by riding in the drops when I want to.
But then again, I may find that my hybrid fits better for my type of riding after a while...
