I suspect that Michelin is selling them as 35mm tires. In the real world, bicycle tires will seldom measure exactly the label width when mounted on a rim and inflated. In fact, the particular rim that you are using will affect the measured width of the tire. If it was my bike I'd pop them on and ride. You'll never notice a 3mm difference.
