Dave, thanks so much for posting this! I was going nuts (or moreso than usual) trying to figure out why following the manual wasn't working. I called the Trek store where I purchased the computer, and their immediate response was "Why don't you bring it in, and maybe we can help you. It's hard to figure it out over the phone." Sure. Happy to spend that hour since you don't want to make the effort to look anything up. Admittedly, I was a little cranky at that point.

I Googled and got your assessment--which worked like a charm. THANK YOU! You have made my day and all future rides much easier.
