I had an op to repair ruptured quadricep tendons 17 days ago and am now in a leg brace. No pain now, just going up the wall with boredom as physio won't start until a month from now. Keep away from daytime TV as it will rot your brain! At least it's given me a chance to sort my outstanding paperwork and catch up with my reading.
It will get better. I had a similar injury three years ago following a bike fall and recovery was slow, but I followed the advice of the PT and around 3-4 months later was, nervously, able to start gentle cycling. Now as good as before.
Wow, Gerry that stinks. Wish you the best. What's the recovery time on the quad tendon? I guess I can't feel sorry for myself. I too have spent some extra time in the office. I coach HS basketball, so that gets me out. But I've proven to be not so stable on the crutches in the dead of winter. The good leg and its knee have taken some hits. Getting a volleyball knee pad tomorrow. Can't lose the one good one I have.
