Most of my bikes don't have mounts for a water bottle. A couple have one mount. And a couple have two mounts. And as a general rule, I put a bottle cage in each mount. And if there are two, i like them to match. So i imagine OP has this one cage he likes, and a frame that will accept two. Rather than buy two new matching bottle cages, he wants to identify the one he has, and get another just like it.

TI and stainless are different colors. We all know the color of stainless; TI is a little duller, a little darker, a little grayer. You should be able to tell. If you can't tell, it's probably stainless.
