Always late and given the same advice as others me.

But, blowing holes in the side of the tires would suggest that either the bead failed due to a manufacturing defect or more likely, the tire wasn't seated on the rim properly or you trapped the tube under the rim when mounting it.

I would also check the rim to make sure theres no damage to where the bead hooks under.

You may know all this, in which case it maybe just cheapo tires.
