I always felt like mine was bad in my hands and feet, and chalked it up to being well over 6' tall. Reading some of the threads in winter cycling and commuting has made me realize maybe others have it even worse than me. I do fine wearing the light and minimal Merrell Trail Glove 2 and dollar store socks down to the 5-10 degree range, which is about where I think about doubling up on socks. I see others that wear thicker shoes with wool socks and still strap on shoe covers if its below freezing.

Just hard to imagine needing something that big and bulky for my hands I guess. I haven't had a single day yet where I've wanted to layer my thin under armor winter running gloves I jog in with my large, thick camping gloves I use for cold evening commutes. One solid pair of insulated wind / water proof gloves is all I need.
