However, it seems like bike companies usually take pictures of their bikes with very little extra steerer tube (10-20 mm) to make it look more...um...sleek. That's the only reason I thought it was "weird".
They actually do leave it. We got in 25 of the Coda line and they all come with three HUGE headset spacers.
