IDK, man. Seems like some of the components are better than the frame and fork, but overall it's nothing special. I know, 'cuz I've got two of those $300 BD Chinese generic chromo bikes (Windsor Clockwork and Motobecane Messenger), and while they are certainly better than a heavy hi-ten bike, they are nothing special. The Lasco cranks are low end Chinese stuff, adequate but no more. If it were me, I'd get something with a better frame, and upgrade components. Here's basically what you are getting, except of course in a larger size:



FWIW, my total investment in the first bike is only $280 and not much more in the second one.
