With mine the only current time is on the screen before the ride screen very small in the upper left corner (too small for me to see while riding) Fine for a spot check at a stop but my phone is easier to pull out if I care. The ride screen shows MPH, miles, elapsed time. At the bottom there is the option of showing adv speed, ascent or calories. The elapsed time is easy to calculate because you know when you start. It's always a little off since I set it to auto pause when I'm stopped at a light.
It was a gift from my son-in-law and works great for me. We discussed it vs the 500 and went for the 200 because I didn't feel like I would use the monitors. We were both surprised that the current time couldn't be easily viewed while riding.
Only point here is that a lot of people are surprised by that simple obvious omission on Garmin's part. I'm sure it is more of a problem for some than others. Since @
