Ah, psywar.
Robbie... Lying on Strava is a hoot... if you're not doing it, you're missing out on some great fun!
I don't use Strava either, mainly because I find that Strava is geared toward making every ride hyper-competitive. Plus the Strava premium account is too expensive in my opinion.
We do have a bunch of millenials around here that live and die by Strava... and they constantly fight over the local segment titles. So I do have a Strava account that I use to drive them out of their minds. Yes. I'm a total ass hat when it comes to this.
Example:
This group of twenty-somethings is really awful. You know the type... they are the fastest around town, but they never ride outside our little community because they aren't really that good. Big fish in the little pond sort of thing. Riders from Macon or Atlanta eat these boys for lunch, so they only ride around here and make themselves feel better by dropping beginners on the weekly no-drop rides.
These guys have a Strava segment that they are really proud of... it's a 1.5 mile segment of dead flat and straight road right near my house. These kids fight over the segment title to the point that they'll get others to lead them out in a train over that segment. They'll even get together a quick train to attempt that segment when they see that they have a tailwind blowing down that road.
So in comes me with the Strava lies: Every once in a while I will check to see who has the segment time. If it's one of the jerks, I get in my car with my trusty Edge 500 and log a time that's a couple of seconds faster than theirs. Then I go to the LBS and listen to them whine about who this mysterious fast guy may be! When they break my bogus time, I'll do it again... just a second or two faster. After a few weeks of this, I'll disappear for a few months. It's great fun!

I'll ask her next time I see her. I'm pretty curious now, myself.
I'd like to know how to do that. I have the latest firmware (2011 v2.10). With mine the only current time is on the screen before the ride screen very small in the upper left corner (too small for me to see while riding) Fine for a spot check at a stop but my phone is easier to pull out if I care. The ride screen shows MPH, miles, elapsed time. At the bottom there is the option of showing adv speed, ascent or calories. The elapsed time is easy to calculate because you know when you start. It's always a little off since I set it to auto pause when I'm stopped at a light.
It was a gift from my son-in-law and works great for me. We discussed it vs the 500 and went for the 200 because I didn't feel like I would use the monitors. We were both surprised that the current time couldn't be easily viewed while riding.
Only point here is that a lot of people are surprised by that simple obvious omission on Garmin's part. I'm sure it is more of a problem for some than others. Since @Flyboy718 just got an Edge 305 this post only serves as a little info to anyone looking at the Edge 200
