My favorite running shoes are asics mexico 66's despite them being relegated to "casual" shoes overtime due to "developments" despite their olympic pedigree.

People who buy into "fads" such as "maximalist" shoes are filthy casuals. I've seen more of them at the gym if anything, especially new balance 980's with the putrid honeycomb pattern. Worn by people whose bodies scream "I've never ran a mile in their life".
