Update: 764+ miles, today I rode around the south bay and it was fun. The bike is doing good but developing play in the steering column. The tires are wearing in pretty good, the brakes are getting thinner, the chain is stretching. I bought a rear rack (topeak), and Avenir Panniers to turn it in to a long distance touring bike.
