That's very cool to put so many miles on a folder. I have been commuting for over 6 months on a folder too. A customer built Dahon P8 like with 9 gears and 20 inch wheels. I have done about 1600 miles on it. I have changed tyres to skinny (schwable one 23x406) but not because original worn out just for some extra speed.
