I REFUSE to ride on any of our MUPs for just that reason. They're either walking in a 2-3-4-5-across gaggle or they're walking their dog on a leash (across the path) or they are listening to their 'Walkman' or they otherwise don't give a crap about bike riders. Our local muni park 'MUP' has now imposed a 10mph 'speed limit' to discourage bike riders. That means that I have to ride on the road and subject myself to the ire of 'cagers' that don't comprehend the reasons why...
