I have worked in retail for many years. The problem you are facing is Jamis and their dealers want to sell you a bike now. They probably won't offer much help unless the bike you are looking for is readily available. They would rather have you buy now than give you reasons to wait. We used to call it "putting people on the I'll be back bus".
FYI, just because someone claimed they received a 2016 Trek doesn't mean that information is factual and it would also be applicable to Jamis.
Bikes are just like consumer electronics. There will ALWAYS be a newer better model next year. It is inevitable. However you could be riding and enjoying your 2015 Jamis right now. There is a chance the 2016 model will be LESS desirable...
Not that it matters but I bought a Jamis Tangier in 2002 and I am glad I did. I did not care for the Tangier models that came out in the following years.
